Sales Jobs Can Be for Anyone

Flexibility in Sales Jobs

Have you ever wondered why there are just so many sales jobs mentioned in your Sunday newspaper, cable television, radio and even online?

That's because anyone has the ability to sell, given the right training and enough time to learn and practice. The thousands of job postings offering sales as a career opportunity tell us that if there's someone willing to sell, there certainly is someone willing to buy.

Sales Jobs Are Not Dead-End Careers

Some of the most successful career people have made it big in or at least started in a selling-related job. How did Ray Krock sell his first McDonald's hamburger? How did Jeff Bezos hit it big with Amazon?

How did Martha Stewart sell... well, Martha Stewart? These are big names in the field of sales and yet, knowing what their stories are isn't as mind-blowing as we thought they would be. Indeed, a look at these people's lives only relays that with hard work, sales can be a lucrative job indeed.

Sadly, due to the proliferation of numerous scams online and offline, sales is getting a bad rap these days and may perceive it as job that leads nowhere. Nothing can be further from the truth. Anyone with enough sense, patience and time to learn the art of selling can sell.

For numerous insurance companies, network marketing firms and the like, the success rate is quite small – that's because most of their agents are afraid to invest money or don't wish to invest time into learning. A sales job is like having your own business; how much you put in it determines how much will go back to you in terms of rewards.
