Jobs for teens are easy to locate, especially if you're not choosy about the type of work you have to perform.

Is there really a job description meant for teens?

There are plenty of job descriptions in the search for young adults. While these jobs aren't exactly the stuff dreams are made of, they're enough to give teens a chance to work in the real world, and let them gain some hard experience before moving on to something more complex. Teen Job 1 ⁄ Administrative or Clerical Work – A very popular choice for teens is a summer job at your local department store or corporate office who's always on the lookout for contractual employees, i.e. to be employed only for a short period of time. It gives you a feel of the hustle and bustle of the corporate world.

Teen Job 2 ⁄ Volunteer Work – If you're inclined to be customer-oriented, volunteer work may be a good option for you. While the pay may not be as high as the first option, you're given an allowance to help tide you over. The best thing about this type of work is your exposure to all kinds of people.

Teen Job 3 ⁄ Direct Sales or Telemarketing – Maybe you're not as comfortable working with people and tend to be shy. Direct sales or telemarketing may be the best job for you. You're paid on a commission basis and all the work you do can be done straight from home.
