- Don't quit your day job – Your present job pays your bills and affords you certain luxuries you wouldn't enjoy if you didn't have it. If you're disappointed with your present work, don't make a decision you'll regret later on. While keeping up with the demands of your career, try something else during your spare time. Consider doing crafts or writing for a living. You'll never know until you try.
- Determine a pattern – Sometimes, your career follows a pattern. Seemingly, there will always be a point when you are depressed or stressed out from work. There will also be days when you can go on and on without sleep at your job. If there is a pattern, it just means that you need to relax and take it easy and immerse yourself in things other than your career.
- Leave if you must – For some people, the only option is to leave their present careers and find themselves in another. Consider this option only after exhausting all other possibilities within your company. Remember that you're losing more than just a job; you're losing career stability and the benefits that come with it.
