A List of Careers Usually found in Job Sites

A list of careers can be found in job search engines. Job searches are made easier because of this list. It helps job seekers find the right jobs commensurate to their qualifications and experience.

Career lists can be very comprehensive. Job searching is conducted by typing job title keywords or by browsing different career list categories. One can compare the process of choosing a career with the process of choosing a major in a college degree.

When you're searching for a job, most career categories appear similar with college departments. That's why most college students chose their majors based on the careers available in different industries. Listed below are some of the most popular career categories found in job search engines.

  • Arts and Media – most popular job search lists include Graphic Artists⁄Designers, Newscasters, Entertainment Performers, Actors⁄Actresses, etc.

  • Accounting, Banking and Finance – major job positions are Auditors, Bookkeepers, Financial Consultants, Bank Clerks, Junior⁄Senior Accountants, etc.

  • Health and Medicine – include job titles such Physicians, Nurses, Psychologists, Physical Therapists, Gym Instructors, Dentists, Optometrists, Gynecologists, etc.

  • Architecture and Engineering – Architects, Draftsmen and Industrial, Civil and Electronic Engineers are just some of the job positions available in this category.
