Career Tests: How Well Do You Do?

What are Career Tests?

Right after graduation and before the first paycheck is a period called unemployment. All of us, at one time or another, have experienced this feeling of  uncertainty regarding our future and being totally penniless. During this period of doubt  and hopelessness, you are faced with two choices: sitting by the telephone waiting for THE call or preparing for a career test. Yes, this is the one that you have to take over and over again prior to recruitment.

Career Test - An Intelligence and Personality Check

A recruitment  test, unlike the endless tests and comprehensive exams you took while in school, does not measure how much you know (or don't know) but whether or not your knowledge and skills match the demands of the position you're applying for.

That's why the questions that are part of the exam tests your proficiency in the areas of language, mathematics and I.Q.

Aside from this 'academic' questions, a recruitment test can also determine the kind of personality you have. That's because more than the credentials and accolades you had in school, employers are also looking into your character and if it would fit in their company culture.

Even experienced workers are not guaranteed a slot unless they pass these personality tests. So more than the raw scores you might get in the tests you are taking in the organizations you are applying for, a big chunk of your chance of having your dream job comes from your ability to work well in a team.
