Career Builder - Tackling an InterviewSure, you posted a great resume at job search engine Career Builder but now you've been called for an interview... face-to-face... now what? You need to prepare! From the way you look to anticipating job interview questions, read on for some helpful tips. Career builder - Go Get 'Em!First of all, know some job interview basics. WHO are you going to talk to? WHAT is the position exactly? WHEN and WHERE are you going to meet? HOW should you present yourself? Ok, this last one needs more discussion. The way you present yourself depends on the position you are applying for. No need to go in with a 3-piece suit for an cashier position at McDonald's right? The opposite, of course, is more disastrous. You cannot wear super casual clothes for a top managerial position. Don't you watch The Apprentice? Apart from dressing right, walk in there with a confident smile and give your job interviewer a firm (not crippling!) handshake. Know about the company you want to join. This always leaves a positive imprint in the minds of most job interviewers. Also, don't forget that when it comes to job interviews, it really takes two to tango. So be prepared with your own (relevant!) questions as well. There is really no point dragging a job interview session for hours or over a month only to find out in the end that the salary they are offering is too low. Bring your resume. Why do most applicants forget to bring this to a job interview? Sure, you've sent it already via email and posted it at the job search engine where they saw you but this never hurts and gives a great impression that you are always prepared.
